Adding a value to goods
Examples of adding a certain value to an product
My learning analysis about the Interview Ms Riitta Hirvonen and the article 16th of March
Markting is about providing value to customers for a return of a fair price at a profit. Marketing is
knowing what to do to full fill the need and wants customers has. Marketing has four P´s as a framework and they are:
1) product( simply what are we offering to the customer)but it is important to try to add an value to the product we are selling, example is to lower the prices 20% or perhaps offer a client an theatre ticket in some certain package, like in hotelpackage.
2) Price(what we charge from the customers, for our product) price must be reliable to the product. Not too cheap or too expensive, try to meet customers expectations.
3) Promotion(the way we are communicating)to tell the customers about certain discounts going on in the shop. Or try to tell about some other huge discount coming example on Easter.
4) Place( it is how and where we deliver the goods) It is important to be aware of non-verbal elements in our body language when we are selling the goods, tone of voice is more power full than the words it self. Make clear and clarified objectives.
Structures:
Product pricing
-tourism development:
There will be more seniors with a lot of travel experience and they will increase the demand of
quality, convenience, security and easier transportation.
Number of household will be decreasing, with a huge spending power and higher incomes
Increasing demand for one-person goods, emphasis should be more on comfort.
Health holidays and awareness will be increasing and also wellness products and activity holidays.
Average level of education is increasing so the demand for certain special products like culture and history packages are increasing.
Budget airlines are here to stay, so more new destinations will be on the market
-tourism promotion:
Every country tries to promote themselves some how as an interest new destination, with rapidly changing goods. To us it is Santa Claus and Lapland, but how long the Japanese are really interested and exited to come to
Demand of new destinations will increase, especially the leisure time. Pressure and hard work stimulates the wish for more leisure and relaxation. Shortening the holidays for more short ones.
-tourism markets:
Lifestyle in western society changes. Hobbies and holidaymaking will be more often combined.
Suppliers has to have completely new products, concepts and services to meet the consumers needs to benefit themselves in the markets.
Internet will continue to increase, direct booking and packaging. Availability of destinations are more easier to find and also information.
Increase for high speed trains, flights with no stops between, better roads etc.
There are different cultures to markets. When we think about Islam and Muslim countries. They have minarets already developed to airplanes and all around the world. We as Western has to be more aware of different cultures and be also more acceptable.
